Free Shape Glow Line Preset for After Effects – Easy Installation & Tutorial!

 

1. What is the "Shape Glow Line" Preset?

• It is a custom preset created for Adobe After Effects, consisting of two parts:
  • Head Shape Glow Line
  • Body Shape Glow Line

2. How to Install the Preset:

• Download the single compressed file. 
  
  
• After extracting it, you will get two files: Head Shape Glow Line.ffx and Body Shape Glow Line.ffx.
• Place them in the following folder: 📂 C:\Users\USER\Documents\Adobe\After Effects 202X\User Presets
  • Note: The folder path may vary depending on your After Effects version.

3. How to Use the Preset:

• Open After Effects and create two Solid Layers:

  • One for the Head Shape Glow Line.
  • One for the Body Shape Glow Line.

• On the Head Shape Glow Line Solid Layer:

  • Use the Pen Tool to draw a small path representing the head of the effect (like the head of a comet).

• On the Body Shape Glow Line Solid Layer:

  • Use the Pen Tool to draw a longer path representing the tail of the effect (like the body of a snake).

• Apply the Head Shape Glow Line preset to the head layer and the Body Shape Glow Line preset to the body layer.

6. Installation Process:

1. Extract the downloaded plugin.
2. Open Thicc Stroke v1.2.
3. Choose Windows or macOS.
4. Copy ThiccStroke.aex.
5. Paste it into: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 202X\Support Files\Plug-ins\Effects.
